Cointiply now has something far more game-like than a normal survey or PTC reward. Crack the Vault is a free cooperative event where the community earns Gems, builds gear, attacks one shared vault, and works toward a real crypto prize pool.
There is no required buy-in or deposit. Gems power the game, loot crates supply gear, and the Forge lets players craft and upgrade equipment before firing it at the Vault. Every attack adds power to the same community progress meter, while individual contribution helps determine rewards if the Vault is cracked.
I've personally used Cointiply and earned through the platform, and Crack the Vault is one of its most interesting additions because it turns the usual reward ecosystem into a much more game-like experience.

What is Cointiply Crack the Vault?
Crack the Vault is part of Cointiply Labs. Instead of placing users against one another for the main objective, it gives everyone the same target: one Vault that must be broken before the season ends.
The loop is easy to understand:
- Earn Gems through compatible Cointiply and Labs activity.
- Spend Gems on gear or loot crates.
- Craft and upgrade equipment in the Forge.
- Fire gear at the shared Vault.
- Add power to community progress and build personal contribution.
- Help crack the Vault and participate in the crypto prize structure.
Can you play Crack the Vault for free?
Yes. Cointiply currently describes Crack the Vault as 100% free to play, with no buy-in and no required deposit. Players can earn Gems from free activities, objectives, quests, and regular platform activity rather than purchasing entry into the season.
The live Crack the Vault page also currently promotes a free loot crate for joining. That gives new players gear to open immediately and a way to see how the rarity and Arsenal systems work before building a larger Gem balance.
What are Cointiply Gems?
Gems are the engagement currency that powers Crack the Vault. They can be spent on Arsenal items, gear upgrades, crafting, and loot crates.
Gems are not cryptocurrency and have no cash value. They cannot be withdrawn or converted to cash. Their purpose is gameplay: earn them inside Cointiply Labs, spend them on equipment, and turn that equipment into attack power against the Vault.
Gems vs Cointiply Coins
| Cointiply Coins | Gems | |
|---|---|---|
| Main purpose | Withdrawable earning balance | Labs gameplay currency |
| Internal value | 10,000 Coins = $1 | No cash value |
| Can withdraw? | Yes, through supported crypto | No |
| Crack the Vault role | Reward and prize ecosystem | Gear, crates, crafting, and attacks |
Coins and Gems can be earned alongside each other, but they are not interchangeable balances. The Cointiply Coins guide explains how the withdrawable balance converts into cryptocurrency.
How to earn Gems
Cointiply Labs currently provides several routes, so playing the Vault does not depend on one activity.
Offers and surveys
Compatible offers and surveys can add Gems automatically alongside normal Coin earnings. This creates a useful double purpose: the task builds the withdrawable Coin balance while also funding Crack the Vault gameplay. When a limited Gem Boost event is active, eligible offer activity can generate multiplied Gems.
For help choosing and tracking these tasks, read the Cointiply surveys and offerwalls guide.
Labs quests and free activities
Labs includes daily, weekly, and lifetime quests that can award Gems. Current examples connect to Labs games, spins, Mystery Boxes, Arcade activity, and other account objectives. CoinWord and CoinTrail wins, selected Arcade results, and some companion or Story Mode rewards can also add Gems without requiring a deposit.
Events, bounties, and leaderboards
Crew Bounties reward contributors when the community completes a shared objective. Gem Storms, Live Trivia, Vault Schematics, and daily Vault category leaderboards can provide additional Gem opportunities when those features or events are active.

Build your Arsenal
The Arsenal contains the equipment used against the Vault. Current categories include damage charges, drills, multipliers, keys, loot boxes, and other special items.
Published examples include Breach Charge, Kinetic Hammer, Plasma Cutter, Vortex Drill, Overdrive Core, Fusion Charge, Void Blade, Lucky Charm, Master Key, and Premium Crate. These names give the game personality, but the complete item selection and balance can change between seasons.
How the Cointiply Forge works
The Forge is a real part of Crack the Vault and follows the live Cointiply Labs game requirements. Cointiply currently says players can craft gear and upgrade equipment into stronger versions, then collect and deploy those items against the shared Vault.
The practical flow is to earn Gems, choose whether to buy gear or work through the Forge, build a stronger Arsenal, and use the finished equipment when it best fits the current Vault. Cointiply does not publish one permanent universal recipe list on the public feature page, so always follow the live Forge requirements rather than an old static recipe.
Crew Bounties can sometimes include boosting Forge jobs as a shared objective, further connecting crafting to community play.
Loot crates and published rarity odds
Loot crates contain gear across six rarities. At the time of this update, Cointiply publishes these drop odds on the live Crack the Vault page:
| Rarity | Published odds |
|---|---|
| Common | 64% |
| Uncommon | 25% |
| Rare | 8% |
| Epic | 2.5% |
| Legendary | 0.45% |
| Mythic | 0.05% |
Cointiply also describes loot luck and pity mechanics that support access to rarer gear over time. Odds and crate rules can change, so the live crate screen remains the final reference for the current season.
Attacking the shared Vault
Once gear is ready, fire it at the shared Vault. Every player's power moves one community progress meter, and each user's attacks also build contribution for the season.
Damage gear can launch a short skill-shot challenge. Current examples include timing a two-stage power meter, repeating a color sequence, entering a combination before time expires, or stopping a drill in its target area. A strong result can multiply the attack by up to 2x, while even a miss still damages the Vault.
That interaction makes gear more than a button press. The item supplies the base power, but timing and execution can improve the hit.
How the crypto prize pool works
When the community cracks the Vault, Cointiply distributes real crypto rewards based primarily on contributed power, with extra leaderboard components. The current public structure lists:
| Prize component | Current allocation |
|---|---|
| Every contributor, by power share | 75% |
| Top 10 crew bonus | 15% |
| Ranks 11-100 bonus | 10% |
Cointiply also advertises a separate Vaultbreaker bonus for the player who lands the final hit: 2% of the pool off the top, with a 500,000 Coin minimum. If a season ends before the Vault is cracked, the current page says the top 100 share a 15% consolation pool.
The supported prize currencies currently shown are Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dogecoin, and Dash. These are real crypto rewards, while Gems remain non-withdrawable gameplay currency.
Quests, objectives, and Crew Bounties
Labs quests are distinct from standard Cointiply Missions. Regular Missions appear under Earn → Bonus Missions & Events and reward compatible platform activity. Labs quests belong to the Labs experience and include daily, weekly, and lifetime objectives that can award Gems, and sometimes Coins or other progression rewards.
Crew Bounties push the cooperative theme further. Everyone who contributes to the current objective helps fill one shared bar. When it completes, contributors receive Gems, and a Supply Drop may appear with a Gem pile or free crate.
For the separate standard system, see how Cointiply Missions add bonus Coins.
How regular Cointiply earning feeds the game
Crack the Vault gives normal Cointiply activity a second purpose:
Surveys and offers earn Coins
→ Compatible activity can also generate Gems
→ Gems fund gear, crates, and Forge upgrades
→ Gear adds power to Vault attacks
→ Contribution participates in the season's crypto reward structure
This connection makes the feature more than a separate mini-game. Users can build a normal withdrawable balance while also progressing through a free crypto game with shared goals and real prizes.
Final verdict
Crack the Vault turns Cointiply's earning ecosystem into a cooperative heist. Gems fund the Arsenal, loot crates create the chase for rarer gear, the Forge builds stronger equipment, and skill shots make each attack more interactive. Most importantly, everyone is hitting the same Vault and working toward a real crypto prize pool.
Because participation is free and no deposit is required, the easiest way to understand the feature is to join Cointiply, claim the currently promoted free crate, earn some Gems, and add your first attack to the community total.
